AHFA’s Solution Partners division will hold its 33rd Annual Education Golf Tournament Wednesday, September 25, on the Catawba Springs Course at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, North Carolina.
A shotgun start is planned at noon, and lunch will be available prior to play. Prizes are presented during a 19th hole reception at the conclusion of the tournament.
All proceeds from the tournament support educational initiatives within the home furnishings industry, primarily the division’s scholarship program. Since 2000, the tournament has helped fund the higher education goals of over 150 students – all children of employees at AHFA member companies. This year 12 $2,500 scholarships were awarded.
“This is the only scholarship program in our industry that is not tied to a specific area of study, such as furniture design or interior design,” notes Mike Padjen, Solution Partners executive director. “Instead, it provides important financial support for our most important resource: our workers and their children.”
