AHFA will once again award 12 scholarships to students who are children of full-time employees at AHFA member companies in 2022.
The deadline for applications is January 31, 2022, so companies are urged to promote the scholarship availability now.
Eight of the $2,500 scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and financial need, and four will be awarded based on academic merit alone. It is the only scholarship program dedicated to helping the children of industry workers attain higher education.
AHFA offers tabletop cards for break room tables as well as posters for doors and bulletin boards to promote the program to your employees. Contact Donna Garcia at dgarcia@ahfa.us for information on ordering these free supplies. Downloadable information and applications are on the Scholarship Program page in the Member Resources section of www.ahfa.us.
Eligible students must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a college or university, a community college or a technical school. They may re-apply for the scholarship each year they are in school, provided a parent continues full-time employment at an AHFA member company.
The scholarship program is supported by the annual Solution Partners Education Golf Tournament held each September. This year’s event raised over $26,000.
